BikeGuy forms Mystic Velo Club Junior Team
The team is made up of riders from the Southeastern Connecticut shoreline between the ages of 14 and 18.

More info to come soon regarding hotel, restaurants and sponsors. It is the day after the Nutmeg State Games Criterium in New Britain about a 50 minute drive.

Events: Bicycle race on closed circuit
When: Sunday, June 22nd 2008, from 8am to 4pm
Where: Fort Trumbull, New London, CT
Who: 500 licensed competitive cyclists with friends & families will come to the area for a day of racing on a closed circuit of roads on Fort Trumbull.
Why: $7000.00 in total prize money
To Benefit: Heavy Hitters Gym, (non profit) Bank Street, New London, CT. Bikes for Kids, of Southeastern Connecticut 
How: A partnership between the NLDC in cooperation with the municipal governments of New London.
Sanctioned By: United States Cycling Federation
Insurance: 1.5 to 2$ Million in Liability
Saturday: The Nutmeg State Games Cycling Championships, Walnut Park, New Britain, CT. Unaffiliated but co-promoted with Whaling City to increase overall participation in both events. This well established long standing event drew over 700 racers in 2007. A large % of them will come to New London and spend an overnight.
Sunday: The Whaling City Cyclone races will take place on a 1 km course closed to traffic on Fort Trumbull in New London. The circuit will include 6 turns per lap and great viewing with the waterfront and Bank Street as a back drop. The race distances will range from 10 miles to 50 miles.
