The Nutmeg State Games Cycling Championships, Walnut Park, New Britain, CT. Unaffiliated but co-promoted with Whaling City to increase overall participation in both events. This well established long standing event drew over 700 racers in 2007. A large % of them will come to New London and spend an overnight. |
| Sunday: |
The Whaling City Cyclone races will take place on a 1 km course closed to traffic on Fort Trumbull in New London. The circuit will include 6 turns per lap and great viewing with the waterfront and Bank Street as a back drop. The race distances will range from 10 miles to 50 miles. |
